Too Hard!
This is my first flight sim game and went through the training flight with little problem. Now I’m stuck in the “Dunkirk” mode and can’t seem to get past getting rid of the German convoys etc. The game times out before I can complete the mission.

The designers should have given you an easy or hard mode should a person could choose depending on their expertise. Also, I don’t like having to restart a campaign if I don’t complete the mission. Enemy targets are a bit hard to find until you do the campaign 2,3,4,5,time you get my thoughts.

Anyway it’s fun and a bit addictive.

You don’t need this…
I bought this as a gift thinking it worked with the Wii Fit. Well, it does work with it “supposedly” but doesn’t do anything special other than act as a mat to lay your wii fit board on as you do Yoga.(I should’ve known better I suppose). Bad Decision. Wouldn’t waste money on it again if I had known it was this useless. Also, it says Wii Fit on the mat in the picture - I got a green yoga mat that costs $10 after I paid $27 - don’t do it!!

Great yoga mat!
Well, I never did yoga until WiiFit so I never had a yoga mat before, but this one seems to be a good one. It’s comfortable when doing the floor yoga position-thingies as the padding is quite sufficient. I like the strap to wrap around it when storing it. Just look for it in the box carefully or you might throw it out by mistake. The green color is very nice, too.

Does the job
The mat does the job - much more comfortable than the floor. However, I am new to yoga so I don’t really know what’s different about this mat versus a normal yoga mat. Not really much to say about a piece of material! One thing I would say, if you don’t mind the hard floor you probably don’t want any kind of mat with the Wii balance board as it gets tiring moving the mat and the balance board around.

its ok… i guess
Madden NFL 09 is the best out of all the previous Maddens on the wii. But there are still some things about this version of Madden that I really do hate!

1. Too kiddy. I mean really, its good if youre like 7 and just learning about football, but refs being miis, having to do stupid TD celebrations after you score, sack, or intercept, and Madden as a mii? What about for those hardcore gamers EA? Before the Wii came out I bought Madden for the Gamecube. It was AWSOEME! Why cant you stop trying to “fix” the game and just leave it alone.

2. Graphics. They are okay but theyre not 360 or PS3 graphics.

3. FIX THE SUPERSTAR MODE! I recently had a 14 year career with the Raiders RB Darren McFadden, and I had to retire! I couldnt take it anymore! Add the mirror mode back, I would like to choose my own number. And ever since you guys came up with Superstar mode, i sim the offseason and it takes really long. It takes me like almost 10 minutes to get from the first to the tenth!

4. ALL-PLAY. WTF? WTF? I mean really, its good if youre like 7 and just learning about football, but you cant be making these games to easy.

5. 5 on 5 mode. I tried it once cause i was really bored, Giants vs Jets, and if you make a bad tackle they will score a touchdown, and wtf with the big heads? They are not cool!

But the things i do like are that the Franchise Mode is as great as it was all the previous years. And call your shots is cool.

Casual Gamers Finally Welcome
There are an incredible number of options to make this game as simple or as complex as you’d like. That’s very refreshing considering how complex football games, especially Madden, became over the past decade.

First, the “All Play” option simplifies the game to the lowest common denominator. There are just a few motion controls for offense and a few for defense. Passes automatically go to the first open receiver yet you retain the basic option to throw left, right, or down the middle. Defense is even simpler. Wiggle the wiimote just before a hit to land a “Big Hit” to try and force a fumble. Basic running moves include sprints, spins, and jukes.

Next, there are 3 playbooks to choose from. Madden’s recommendation, the Basic Play Book, and an Advanced Playbook. Choosing the Basic Playbook gives you about a dozen plays on offense and defense. No more scrolling through screen after screen of baffling formations, routes, and coverages. Also by default in “All Play” mode there is no play clock, which means you can take your time selecting your play.

The motion controls add an element to the game that is very fun, especially for the quarterback. A quick snap of the wrist throws a bullet, while a large sweeping motion lobs a bomb. It’s a great feeling to drop back and lob a pass to a wide open receiver for an 80 yard touchdown. The motion-control passing controls are very satisfying in this regard.

If this is all too simple for you, you can disable “All Play” and play with all the Advanced Options that hardcore gamers are used to, including setting men in motion, formation changes, audibles, stiff arms, and on and on and on. Of course you can adjust just about every element of game play including quarter length, injuries, penalties, fatigue, and so on.

The game naturally allows you to advance at your own pace. After you’ve mastered “All Play” with the Basic Playbook, start using the Advanced Playbook. Mastered that? Turn off “All Play” and enable the Rookie difficulty mode. Mastered that? Move on to Pro. Then All Pro. Then All Madden!

Outside of an ordinary football game, you can play a 5-on-5 game, play in Franchise mode, play in Superstar mode, play trivia in Party Mode — it just goes on and on.

Years ago many of these football video games just became too complex for the casual gamer. Madden All Play finally changes that and allows the game to be legitimately casual, fun, and enjoyable. Yet, you can slowly adapt the game to become more and more complex, if you want.

Hardcore gamers should still find everything they’re used to just by disabling “All Play” and choosing an appropiate difficulty level.

The best football game on the best platform. Highly recommended.

Best madden for the Wii till date!
I just bought my copy of Madden 09 a couple of weeks back and this is the “fun”nest Madden that I have played on the Wii. I love the fact that you can create your own routes for the selected plays. The customized celebration is a cool extra feature in the main game. Apart from that, the party game mode and the new 5 on 5 mode add quite a bit of variety to this version of the Madden franchise. Overall, this is a great pick for the Wii. Highly recommend it!

This is a great game and the All-Play mode is great. The Wii version of Madden does not stack up against other versions. Wii does have some features the other versions lack such as % on 5 and party games. Worth the buy but don’t expect a PS3 or 360 expierience.

If you’re going to buy an extra Wii Remote, this is an absolute must-have!
In case you are unfamiliar with the Nunchuk, it is an accessory that simply plugs into the bottom of any Wii Remote. You may have seen Nintendo saying things like “with the Wii Remote, to hit a tennis ball, simply swing the Wii Remote”. This is true for some games, for many others, it is not that simple.

How would one play a game like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess without a Nunchuk? How would you control your character and swing your sword? Would you simply use the + control pad (on top of the Wii Remote) to move your character, and when you get some action, start swinging? How would you move around while in combat? Why am I asking so many questions?

This is where the the Nunchuk adds depth and variety to games like Zelda. The Nunchuk has two buttons (Z and C) and an Analog Stick. In Zelda, the Analog Stick is used for character movement, the Z button is for aiming, and the C button is used to look around. Some games use them (Zelda, Metroid Prime 3 etc.) and some don’t (Boxing in Wii Sports… I think that’s it). But the most innovative feature of the Nunchuk isn’t ON the Nunchuck, but rather IN it.

It has a built-in accelerometer, which in human terms, means that it shares some of the motion-sensing abilities with the Wii Remote. What kind of motion-sensiing abilites you may ask? I’ll give some examples.

When you shake the Nunchuk in Zelda, you do a spin-attack. When you “punch” with it in Boxing (included in Wii Sports), you punch the character you are fighting against. It may not have the pointing abilites of the Wii Remote, but it shares the core motion-sensing abilites, which it also shares with products like the iPhone and SIXAXIS PS3 controller.

To summarize, the Nunchuk attachment isn’t only a cool add-on for the Wii Remote, but it is a neccessary add-on for the Wii Remote. It will set you back around $20, but it is better to buy it now than hear your kids endlessly nag you about it. They are very durable, very innovative, and very fun.

I purchased an extra Wii nunchuck so that I could have the option of playing with multiple people rather than just playing against the Wii. I have only used it once because the only game I have that uses nunchucks is the Wii Sports boxing. It’s worth the money to buy one so you can have it just in case.

Simply, a MUST HAVE!
The bottom line is that if you own a Wii, you should have one nunchuk for every Wii remote. Not every Wii game requires a nunchuk, but you don’t want to be stuck with out it when a game comes along that offers greater precision and control through use of the nunchuk.

In general, the control stick on the nunchuk will allow you to control your on-screen character (ex. Mario Galaxy). However, because the nunchuk also features motion sensitive controls it can serve as your left hand in games such as boxing.

Wii is very enjoyable with just a Wii remote, but if you intend to get the most out of your Wii, make sure to have 4 Nunchuks and 4 Wii Remotes!
