Wii Zapper with Links Crossbow Training Review

With the Wii Zapper, your game shooting experience is guarenteed to take on a whole other dimension. Your Wii remote and nunchuck fit snugly into the Zapper, still working as well as before, only now in a shape that, when simulating the use of a weapon such as a gun or bow, allows for a steadier hand that is much less likely to get tired. Included with the Zapper is Link’s Crossbow Training for the Wii, a clever and engaging shooting game set in the world of Twilight Princess that includes 27 different levels, several different game modes and multiplayer capability up to four people. Link’s Crossbow Training is ESRB Rated T for Teen.

Lots of Fun
This game and controller is way too much fun, and I’m over 40! Getting through the game on the first level (i.e.: medals) is not too difficult, although challenging enough to keep you entertained. The second and third levels are considerably more difficult. Levels are based on your ability to be accurate and fast, as well as see what is going on around you.

This is an excellent trainer, and has improved my skills for more demanding games, like Call of Duty, and I can even use the controller as a rifle if I choose.

Overall, I have no regrets, nor am I disappointed in this purchase.

Good
The Zapper is somewhat short in length, so I wish it were adjustable to allow the player to expand his/her arm distance. The one other downside I find with the Zapper is that it requires a very steady hand. Link’s Crossbow Training often requires the player to point at a target with precise aim, but it is made difficult because the line of sight between the Zapper and on-screen crosshairs has a slight delay and tends to drift outside of the desired focal point.

Despite the Zapper’s limitations, Link’s Crossbow Training is a thrill. Each stage provides a different type of play and all are fun to explore by using the Zapper for various functions like shifting character point of view.

I’m very pleased with this Wii package, mostly because of the entertainment value of the included game. Overall, I think it’s a good buy!

The Price is Right Review

Come on down and experience all of the classic moments from The Price is Right show with up 4 people. You will hear your name called as you’re announced to “Come on Down!” to Contestant’s Row. Play all of the favorite pricing games, including Plinko, Cliff Hangers and Punch-A-Bunch. Spin the Wheel for the chance at the big prizes in the Showcase Showdown.

The Price is Wrong
I was really disappointed in this game due to the fact that if you are playing against multiplayers then the highest bidder doesn’t get to go to the showcase. You both do. It didn’t matter if you won or lost. The graphics were good. But definately not worth the 40 bucks.

This game is awful
I only played it once. Thank god I rented it. I played with one other person and no matter what we both got on stage, spun the wheel and where in the showcase showdown. The game lacks numerous features and is far from fun. I would not purchase this game ever. Take this review as a forewarning and rent the game before you purchase.

Buy It Used - Too $$$
We purchased the Price is Right Wii version last week…no one in the family has played it this week. As others have said, there are long delays before and during game play. The unique features of the WII system are barely used. The second time I played one of the games, some of the items I had bid on the first time, were already repeated. While playing the game on my big screen TV, let alone on my a 27″ TV some of the items, descriptions and video were hard to make out.

Pretty Fun…
I used to watch the show with my mom all the time and so it brings me back a little bit. Haven’t seen it in quite a while, but the game reminded me of how aggravating it can be!! The AI… so-to-speak… is really smart. Too smart if you ask me. But it keeps you on your toes. Me and my friends gave it a good 5 hours straight and had to put it down, but then we started again this morning before school :D yeah, it’s worth it I’d say.

This game should be neutered.
The game is kind of fun the first time you play it, but after that it will soon gather dust on the shelf. After playing the game with friends and family, I went around with the question, “Hey, You want to play Price is Right again”, no takers.

The concept of the TV game show is probably something that can never be produced as a good video game. In the TV show, if you guess the best price you get to come up on stage and play a pricing game. With this video game, no matter how badly you guess the price you still get to play a pricing game, and do a “spin off” for the big showcase. And even if you suck at the “spin off”, you still get to do a final spin to get to the showcase. So basicly, no matter how bad you play, you will probably end up in the showcase, which kind of makes the whole game pointless.

The pricing is difficult if not impossible to guess, for example, I had to guess the price on a bag of oreo’s, ok, a couple of bucks, no it’s .49 cents, it’s the small bite size oreo’s, they don’t tell you the size of the product. On one showcase I had a 08 Ford Mustang convertable, a Honda dirt bike, and a trip to Mexico. Hmmm, I’d say around $30K, wouldn’t you, no, $17K. I guess the game is buying its cars and trips at Walmart.

The pricing games are pretty fun, but usually by the time you figure out how the controller and game works, your already out of time. And of course, with the bad replay value, your probably never going to go back and try it agian.

The graphics are pretty good for the wii, and the cut videos, although a little small, are done well. Too bad the video just stops, like you hit the pause button, when the video is over and sends you back to the game. That looks really cheap, and makes you realize that your playing a crappy game.

Graphics *** (Excellent for the wii, the video problems bring it down a bit)

Game Play ** (The pricing games are fun, but not easy to learn while the timer is ticking, The Price is Right game show concept is totally lost)

Replay Value * (I don’t think I’ll find anyone to play this game again)

Overall **

Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga Review

Building on the success of both Lego Star Wars videogames, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga enables families to play through the events of all six Star Wars movies in one videogame for the first time ever. Developer Traveller’s Tales has brought the action to the Nintendo Wii, with motion-sensitive inputs that give you exciting new ways to control your Lego Star Wars characters, while also adding new characters, new levels and new features. The upgraded Character Customizer includes all Prequel Trilogy characters for the first time, while also expanding its customization options well beyond those in Lego Star Wars II, for millions more possibilities. Create cross-Trilogy mash-up characters like Han Windu and Lando Amidala. New game features include enhanced Force powers, new power-ups, and a new Challenge Mode. Levels from the original Lego Star Wars are revamped to meet the gameplay evolutions of Lego Star Wars II. ESRB Rated E10 for gamers aged 10 and up.

A must have for kids!
My children ages 7 to 9 both love this game. How can you not? The game is very well done and I consider it an all time ‘must have’ game for the wii. If your children enjoy Star Wars, then they will love this game. Star Wars has been my children’s favorite game for weeks now. Even my four year old and my 13 year old play it.

The Legos are so cute.

Fun for everyone!
This game is so much fun! It is nice because I would imagine a beginner-level gamer or a younger player would be able to get through the game easily, but there are lots of extras for adult or more serious gamers to go back for once they’ve completed each level or episode. It’s nice to be able to wave the wii remote for lightsaber action as well as having the option of just using a button. It’s also fun that different characters have different capabilities (I’m assuming it is similar to the style of other Lego games). The game couldn’t be any cuter and more hilarious. Love the game, and had fun working towards the 100% completion… just wished the result was a little more exciting.

I’d definitely recommend this to any Star Wars fan, guy or girl, young or old. It is made for everyone to enjoy!

Absolutely Fantastic Game
I love this game it has all the right things going for it (lego, star wars, 2 player) and has been delivered in a smart and stylish format. I play this with my kids and one of the reasons I got it was it allows 2 players to work together on levels, good team building and puzzle skills.

This is well worth the money, for all ages!

Wii Remote Controller Review

The Wii Remote Controller makes gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities. Nintendo fused the familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology — creating a multifunctional device limited only by the imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on.

Great addition to Wii
A second Wii controller is a perfect addition to Wii. Even simple games like bowling and tennis are much more enjoyable. My wife and I are able to actually play tennis against each other, and when bowling, we’re not endlessly handing the controller back and forth.

Great product
I am very pleased with this product. The board gets dirty very easily, and isn’t the most comfortable thing for constant stepping. Once I put this on, I have not had to do much cleaning and it still looks great. It is also much more comfortable on the feet. I had worried it may be slippery, but not at all. I feel more secure with it on. My two little kids use it, and they get a kick out of the glow in the dark feature. We didn’t need it to glow, they just think it is cool. It is very easy to put on, very durable (standing up to 2 adults, and 2 small children with almost daily use), and easy to clean when you have to. Love it and recommend it.

CLEAR SLEEVE
I ordered this after reading the other comments posted. It protects the WIIFIT board from dirty feet or shoes and it does seem to give you a better grip if you are bare footed. I am glad I ordered it and very easy to put on.
